Chris Christie Uses Helicopter To Go To Son's Baseball Game

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is facing a huge amount of criticism for using a state helicopter to attend his son's baseball game on Tuesday.

According to NJ.com, Chris Christie arrived to the game in the helicopter just as the game began and then he and his wife got out and went into a black car, which drove 100 yards to the ballfield. Oftentimes, Governors use helicopters as a mode of transportation due to their busy schedules, but it's unknown where Christie went before or after the game.

The helicopter which Christie used yesterday, was newly purchased for $12.5 million earlier this year.

Phillies Get Destroyed By Nationals 10-2

Jayson Werth was all smiles last night as the Nationals took advantage of Cliff Lee, who was clearly off his game. When you're an elite pitcher you won't have "it" every night and that was the case with Lee who surrendered 6 runs in 6 innings. The Phillies' bats, which were hot in the past 7 games were shut down by Jason Marquis. They will go back at it again at 1:05 as Roy Oswalt takes the hill.

Philly Police Officer Drowns Near Boathouse Row

Yesterday afternoon a car suddenly lost control along Kelly Drive and crashed into the Schuylkill River. Several good sumaritans rushed to the vehicle to aid the driver who was later identified as a Philadelphia Cop. At the time of his recovery he didn't have a pulse and was rushed to the hospital. Sgt. Stephen Naughton (who was off-duty at the time) was pronounced dead just an hour later. Sgt. Naughton, was a veteran on the Philadelphia Police Dept. with 31 years experience.
