Bam Margera Rips Roger Ebert Over Twitter Comment About Ryan Dunn

Yesterday, Roger Ebert made an awful remark about "Jackass" star Ryan Dunn who died in a tragic car accident early Monday morning. Ebert remarked, "friends don't let jackasses drink and drive" even though there was and is no proof that Dunn was intoxicated when he got into the wreck.

Bam Margera (who is Dunn's best friend) fired back at Roger Ebert on Twitter and stated, "I have been crying hysterical for a full day and piece of s*** roger ebert has the gall to put in his 2 cents... Millions of people are crying right now, shut your fat f****** mouth!"

I'm surprised Margera was this tame when lashing out at Ebert - I actually expected him to be much more harsh. Margera and Dunn were best friends and this is about as devastating a loss as Margera could endure. It was innappropriate for Ebert to pass judgment so early before the facts came in. He should have refrained from the comment.

Roger Ebert Finally Backs Down From Twitter Comment

As of this last night Roger Ebert didn't waiver from yesterday's incendiary remark about Dunn.

He has since reneged and said "he was probably too quick to tweet" about the death of Ryan Dunn following the horrific car crash in West Goshen Township yesterday morning. And he went on to say he didn't mean to be cruel.

Ebert blogged about the situation on his personal blog and offered condolensces to Dunn's friends and family.

Probably a smart move after he was in Bam Margera's crosshairs last night.

Finally, NBCPhiladelphia got a chance to sit down with Phil and April Margera yesterday to get their reaction. Check out the link to view the interview.
