Kim Delaney Pulls an Amy Winehouse at Liberty Medal Ceremony For Robert Gates

Kim Delaney's recent speech at the National Consitution Center is making headlines across the country. To quote Charlie Sheen it was "EPIC" as in - epic disaster. Perhaps she was hanging out with Charlie Sheen beforehand.

During the speech, the star of "Army Wives" appears disheveled and is slurring her words. Delaney stumbled to the podium and twisted her hands as she talked about having “served in active military duty family for five years.” She added, “I’ve seen soldiers come home with painful life altering injuries borne of their time and service." She also added (while slurring at times) “I’ve attended numerous military funerals, including that of my best friend’s son.” When you look at her she looks like she's hopped up on drugs and booze. In fact, some say she has fallen off the wagon again - as she has struggled with alcohol abuse in the past, having entered rehab in 2006.

The speech was such an epic disaster that she had to be booted off stage during the event, which honored former Defense Secretary Robert Gates at a Liberty Award Medal Ceremony.

Delaney was tabbed for the event because of her roots in Philadelphia and her role on the hit show "Army Wives." Little did they know they would get someone up on stage who resembled Amy Whinehouse after an all-night bender.

More Flooding in the Philadelphia

You're probably thinking WTF after the latest round of rain from yesterday afternoon. If you lived in Western Chester County, Eastern Berks, and Western Montgomery County - particularly in the Pottstown / Douglassville area then you witnessed some ridiculous rain yesterday. The culprit was a fast-moving system which came up from the south. And, the heaviest band of rain just happened to run from PA down to Viriginia along the Chester/Berks/Montgomery county lines, and it literally kept moving up North in a single line. The result was several inches of rain in parts of the area.

All told, we have had well over 20 inches of rain in the Southeastern PA area...since August. Philadelphia has had 28 inches of rain since August 1st. To put that into perspective, we might see 20 inches of rain in the Philadelphia area over a 6-month period based upon averages.

Today things are expected to improve substantially, but the wet pattern will continue into mid next week.

Space Junk Lands in Pacific Ocean

NASA officials were almost on the money with their prediction that space junk from a falling satellite would fall near the U.S. Fortunately, it landed in the Pacific ocean. Video from a news helicopter in San Diego showed some sort of space junk falling from the sky. People in Hawaii were disappointed to not see much of anything though.

There were over twenty pieces, which didn't burn up and ranged from a few pounds to several hundred pounds.

According to officials, the satellite penatrated the Earth's atmosphere over the Pacific ocean between 11:23 and 1:09 A.M. EDT.

Chances are most of the remaining pieces, if not all of it have fallen into the ocean.

Phillies Losing Streak on Hold..Mets Same Postponed

For the first time since clinching the NL East Division title last Saturday, the Phillies did not lose a game. The Phillies closed out their final homestand in embarrassing fashion, by losing 4 straight to the Nationals. Their losing streak stands at six, which is the worst streak in a few years.

That's because the game with the Mets was postponed due to rain. They will now play a doubleheader against the Mets, starting at 1:10 today. Game 2 will take place at 7:10.
