Bobby Brown Leaves Whitney Houston's Funeral Early

Whitney Houston's ex-husband Bobby Brown is in the headlines today for leaving his ex-wife's funeral early following a spat. Brown, who attended the late-singer's funeral with 10 people, was asked to move three times. He was originally expected to attend with 2 guests. After being asked to move a third time, he left along with his 10 guests so he wouldn't create a scene.

It's common knowledge that he has had a contentious relationship with Whitney Houston's family over the years. Yesterday's events mark the latest dispute between Brown and Houston's family. When Brown arrived to the church just as services were set to begin, he was told he could remain seated with Houston's family, but his guests would have to move.

When Brown arrived to her funeral, naturally he was emotionally distraught and walked up to Whitney Houston's casket and back down the aisle.

"My children and I were invited to the funeral of my ex-wife Whitney Houston," Brown later said in a statement. "We were seated by security and then subsequently asked to move on three separate occasions. I fail to understand why security treated my family this way and continued to ask us and no one else to move. Security then prevented me from attempting to see my daughter Bobbi Kristina. "In light of the events, I gave a kiss to the casket of my ex-wife and departed as I refused to create a scene. ... I will continue to pay my respects to my ex-wife the best way I know how," the statement said."

Flyers Free Fall Continues and in Talks To Get Rick Nash

The Philadelphia Flyers' losing ways continued with an embarrassing 6-4 loss to the Penguins on Saturday. Not only was Ilya Bryzgalov horrendous, but Sergei Bobrovsky wasn't any better. Each goalie allowed 3 goals in the defeat.

The Flyers have no answer at goaltender right now and are having serious defensive struggles. It's clear that the loss of Chris Pronger is having a major effect on the team. They made another trade for a defensemen last night, acquiring Pavel Kubina from the Tampa Bay Lightning.

There are rumors they could be going after Columbus Blue Jackets star Rick Nash.

Nash has 18 goals and 21 assists on the season. If they Flyers to acquire Nash, they are likely going to depart with either Sean Courturier, James van Riemsdyk, Brayden Schenn, or Sergei Bobrovsky.
