Derrick Rose Tears ACL Against Sixers

The Chicago Bulls suffered a terrible break in game one against the Philadelphia 76ers yesterday as their star player Derrick Rose tore his ACL with just a minute left in the game. Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau was trying to be optimistic after the game.

“It’s part of the game,” coach Thibodeau said. “There are going to be injuries. A guy can get hurt in practice. He can get hurt in the first five minutes of the game. He can get hurt at the end of a game. He can get hurt any time. Then you have to deal with it."

Brian Dawkins Retires as a Philadelphia Eagle

Legendary Philadelphia Eagles safety Brian Dawkins returned to the Philadelphia Eagles yesterday when he gave his retirement speech. Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie introduced the legend who took the stage and wasted little time in talking about his love for the team, city, and fans.

Dawkins said, "I know I am shedding tears because I am thinking back and reminiscing but this is a happy time for me...I chose to walk out the way I am walking out. This is a blessing to be able to come here and retire as an Eagle, back where I started."

President Obama Brings The Funny in White House Correspondants Dinner

The annual White House Correspondants Dinner took place last night. And, President Obama was quite humorous during his speech, taking a jab at Newt Gingrich who showed up. He even made a joke about the recent Secret Service Scandal.

Obama said, "I had a lot more material prepared, but I have to get the Secret Service home in time for their new curfew."

The dinner featured many celebrities, including Jimmy Kimmel.
