Tiger Woods may not make his Philadelphia-area debut at Aronimink after neck injury

water cooler logoIf you were waiting with bated breathe to see Tiger Woods play in the Philadelphia-area, then you might be disappointed. Tiger Woods was going to compete in the AT&T National Event in July, which takes place at Aronimink Golf Club this year.

However, it's up in the air if and when he'll compete again after he withdrew in the final round of the Players Championship yesterday due to a neck injury.

Woods was quoted as saying, "I've been playing with a bad neck for quite a while. I've been playing through it. I can't play through it anymore," Woods said. "They want me to go get a picture on it next week. I might have a bulging disc."

Tiger Woods is in the area today for a media event scheduled at Aronimink in Newtown Square. And, the biggest question that will be raised is "if" he expects to play in the event in July.  Looks like Philadelphia may have to wait even longer for Tiger to come to the area. If Tiger is healthy, this would mark the first time that Tiger Woods will play in the Philadelphia-area as a professional.
