Condoleezza Rice was seen as one of the more sinister figures in the Bush Administration and not one whom you'd expect to jump out of that shell.  Many left-wingers call her an evil "neocon."  Believe it or not, it's not the first time she has performed in public.

Mrs. Rice was also a former Provost at Stanford University in addition to serving as a key member of the Bush Adminstration during his eight years as President. Furthermore, she might be one of the most brilliant minds (politics aside) to have ever served in an elite role in the United States government.  She graduated High School at age 16 and earned her B.A. when she was just 19 years old.

Rice, deserves major kudos for doing this.  She and Aretha Franklin performed together at the Mann Center for Performing Arts to benefit inner city youth. Condoleezza Rice showed off some serious piano skills as her and Aretha Franklin performed a duet.  It's no surprise because Condoleezza Rice, in addition to being a brilliant poltical mind is an accomplished pianist. She has been performing in public since she was 15 years old. She also performed in August 2008 at the Aspen Music Festival.

Why did Condoleezza Rice perform with Aretha Franklin? According to the New York Times it was due to mutual respect between the two.

What else is "Condi" Rice up to these days? She went back to her roots and teaches political science at The Hoover Institution at Stanford University.  She also plays an awesome piano.
