Dr. Laura, Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, And The Tea Party Should Learn Tolerance From President Obama
Dr. Laura Schlessinger embarrased herself in a big way last week after going on an n-word laced rant on her radio show. She has since apologized, but clearly her true colors came out during that Tuesday broadcast. Everybody in the media including Keith Olbermann have weighed in on her idiotic comments.
I wrote last week that Dr. Laura Schlessinger has entered the intolerant world of Rush Limbaugh, who may be the biggest bigot in the history of professional broadcasting.
Sarah Palin, the beloved hero for millions of tea partiers is no angel either. She has shown racist tendencies in her past as well. Check out this story of a man who witnessed Palin's racism first hand.
Let's not forget about the Tea Party either. I wrote extensively about it and even appeared on Mitch Albom's radio show to address my article about the Tea Party, which I believe to be a haven for racism.
Dr. Laura, Sarah Palin, and Rush Limbaugh can learn a thing or two from President Obama who recently addressed the Ground Zero Mosque in New York City. Philly2Philly.com's Erik Uliasz wrote extensively about the proposed mosque, which would be built near Ground Zero in New York City. Uliasz came to the conclusion that the mosque has a constitituional right to exist. I happen to agree as does President Obama.
Apparently some people in America still believe in constitutional rights rather than allowing their racists views to cloud their judgement on a daily basis. Limbaugh fits into the latter category. Added to that, the GOP is making themselves look like fools by lambasting Obama for his comments. John Cornyn, a Republican Senator from Texas (big shock) had this to say, "The administration, and the president himself, seems to be disconnected from the mainstream of America.” I suppose you're only part of the mainstream if you believe in trampeling over people's civil liberties.
President Obama should be applauded for supporting the rights of muslims who want to build the mosque and cultural center near ground zero. The Tea Party and their accolytes such as Limbaugh and Palin should agree.
It's not in their blood though; they wouldn't know tolerance if it bit them on their posteriors.
