Jon Bon Jovi is Not Dead and He Responds to Internet Death Hoax
Jon Bon Jovi is Not Dead Folks!
New Jersey rock legend Jon Bon Jovi has become the latest victim of the internet death hoax.
Last night, rumors surfaced on Facebook and Twitter that the musician/actor was found dead after suffering cardiac arrest.
The bogus story was first published on a blog called DailyNewsBlogInternational then it grew legs and blew up yesterday.
Last night at a concert in New Jersey, Jon Bon Jovi joked about the death hoax.
"He referred to the hoax several times, and even pantomimed taking phone calls from concerned friends checking to see if he was still alive," the Star-Ledger reported. "He even felt the need to rehash the old Mark Twain quip about how the reports of his death had been exaggerated. He then followed it up with a tweet, which stated, "Heaven looks a lot like New Jersey" -jbj. Rest assured that Jon is fine!"
As is the case with any death rumor, I needn't tell you that all you have to do is check out OhNoTheyDidn't, TMZ, or CNN to get the facts. If a rumor is true you can rest assured it will be posted on one of those reputable sites ASAP.
Just remember, sites like that aforementioned site will do anything for hits. That's the world we live in these days.
