The United States, Britain, and France have begun taking action against Muammar Gaddafi's forces in Libya. A defiant Gaddafi has refused to step down after weeks of protests and worldwide condemnation.

Gaddafi has called a recent UN Resolution invalid, which seeks to protect Libyan citzens.

President Obama today announced that the U.S. would provide support and stated that "We are part of a broad coalation."

Earlier today, France sent in warplanes to attack Gaddafi's forces after French President Sarkozy authorized force. And, the United States and Britain have launched missiles against Muammar Gaddafi's Libyan forces.

Gaddafi addressed President Obama as “our son” in a letter. “I have said to you before that even if Libya and the United States enter into war, God forbid, you will always remain my son and I have all the love for you as a son, and I do not want your image to change with me.”

The situation in Libya will get extremely ugly for sure. Gaddafi has been the ruler of Libya for 40 years and for good reason. He will not go down without a brutal fight. Gaddafi has stated he will arm "the Libyan people to fight against foreign agression."
