Osama Bin Laden Killed By U.S. Forces: President Obama To Address Nation

Nearly ten years after the September 11 attacks, the U.S. Government is confirming that Osama Bin Laden was killed tonight, following a military operation.

NBC News is reporting that Bin Laden's body is in possession of U.S. forces following his death. President Obama is expected to address to the nation shortly about Bin Laden's death.

On a side note, there was a huge shakeup in Washington just days ago involving Leon Panetta and David Petraeus. Panetta was assigned the role of Defense Secretary and Petraeus placed in charge of the CIA.

Ironically, Donald Trump's show The Celebrity Apprentice was interrupted for the breaking news tonight - Trump as you may know has been very critical of Obama in recent weeks. Trump has questioned Obama's American citizenship and asked for him to produce his birth certificate. And, President Obama fired back at Trump last night at the White House Correspondants dinner in funny fashion. Even Trump has to be willing to suck it up in light of the major news tonight.

The emotional lift this will give to the military and Americans is unprecedented. Bin Laden is not just the mastermind behind the worst attacks upon American soil since Pearl Harbor, but a symbol of the war on terror.
