Hangover 2 Set To Be Released After Judge Ends 'Tattoo-Gate'

Hangover fans can now relax and rejoice! The lawsuit perepetrated by tattoo artist S. Victor Whitmill was thrown out by a judge yesterday. And, Hangover 2 will be released on time for Memorial Day Weekend.

Whitmill was seeking to have the release of Hangover 2 put on hold after claiming that they used his Mike Tyson face tattoo without his permission, thus in violation of his copyright.

Ed Helms' character Stu has a facial tattoo similar to Mike Tyson's tattoo in the film, but, it's clearly not the same exact tattoo. Whitmill claimed that a large part of the film and it's marketing was based on said tattoo. And, thus 'Tattoo-Gate' was threatening the release of Hangover 2.

Mike Tyson of course appeared in the first Hangover.

It's good to see that smart judgment has prevailed and that the sequel to one of the greatest comedies in the past twenty years will be released on time. Get ready for another wild ride with Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms, and Ken Jeong.
