Bin Laden Death Photos Not Released: The Right Call By President Obama

A major debate has ensued regarding President Obama's decision to withhold the release of photos of Bin Laden after his death following a firefight. Sarah Palin is exploiting the situation by ripping the President - telling him not to "pussyfoot around" and to release the photos. Then again Sarah Palin would probably criticize Obama if he managed to get unemployment below 4%.

Once news broke of Osama Bin Laden's death, conspiracy theorists couldn't debunk the mission soon enough. In fact, if you google "bin laden death" the first search which comes up is an article laden with conspiracy theories. Those folks are really getting good at their SEO!

The Obama Administration was debating the release of Bin Laden's death photo, but it wouldn't have mattered if they decided to follow through with it.

Republican Congressman Peter King said, "I understand the president's decision and will not oppose it," King said in a statement. "While I have said that a photo release may be a good way to combat the predictable conspiracy theories about bin Laden's death, this is a decision for the President to make, and I respect his decision."

Since when are politicians worrieda about what conspiracy theorists think? Appeasing them is a mere exercise in futility anyway.

Obama released the long-form of his birth certificate, but the birthers just brushed it off as a sham.

If a Bin Laden death photo is released, they'll just say it was done in Photoshop. These are the same people who (truthers) believe a demolition was behind the collapse of both Twin Towers.

In the end, Presidnet Obama is making the right call. The Administration doesn't need to display a trophy photo to the world. And, they certainly don't need to appease conspiracy theorists, who are irrelevant.
