Gisele Bundchen Defends Tom Brady and Is Wrongly Criticized By the Media

water cooler logoYesterday, the M.I.A. middle finger during Madonna's halftime show at the Super Bowl was receiving tons of attention.

Today another non-story is blazing the headlines, which involves Tom Brady's supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen, who ripped the Patriots receivers after the game.

First off, it's not as if Gisele Bundchen made these comments while on the Today Show with Matt Lauer and Ann Curry.

No, she was recorded making these comments to her friends, following the Patriots' 21-17 loss to the New York Giants.

She even kept her cool when a few idiot Giants fans rubbed it in by saying Eli Manning owned her husband Tom Brady. Big shocker there - Giants fans acting like a bunch of drunken, classless louts!

While waiting on the elevator Bundchen couldn't keep her emotions in any longer and said, "You have to catch the ball when you're supposed to catch the ball." She followed it up by saying, "My husband cannot f--king throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can't believe they dropped the ball so many times."

First off, she's not wrong in her assessment. The Patriots receivers were brutal in the second half. Wes Welker's dropped ball, which would have given the Patriots a shot at winning the game, was a huge reason why they lost. Missed opportunities like that define a career. Should Welker fail to ever win a Super Bowl, his legacy will be that drop on an easy play. The Patriots' receivers as a whole did cost them a Super Bowl.

Secondly, she said this to her friends while some eavesdropper lurked in the shadows like a cockroach recording her private conversation.

Leave it to the New York media to turn this story into a fiasco. It's front page news on the New York Daily News.

Instead, the media should be focusing on the Giants' incredible Super Bowl run following a 9-7 season and the Patriots' game of missed opportunities.
