As Cliff Lee continues to dominate for the Phillies, forget about Michael Vick and Roy Halladay

It seems with every start, Phillies' ace Cliff Lee gets better and better. And, to think he was viewed as a nice consolation prize during the Roy Halladay sweepstakes.

My, my that seems so long ago.

With Lee's 11 strikeout (career high) complete game performance last night against the Dbacks it gave him a 4-0 record as a Phillie. And, it was his second complete game in just 4 starts. Cole Hamels had 2 complete games all of last year!

A look inside the numbers will show you truly how much of an impact he has made on the team when he takes the hill.

In 4 starts he has pitched 33 innings, good for an average of 8.25 innings per night and possesses a 0.82 ERA. To go along with those numbers he's allowed just 3 earned runs over that span while compiling 34 strikeouts and allowing just 6 walks.

If he keeps pitching like this, we'll forget about Cole Hamels being the next "Lefty" and will pass that distinction onto Lee.

Not to take anything away from Roy Halladay, because his pedigree tells you all you need to know. But, he's 2-2 with a 3.30 ERA in August compared to Lee.

Right now Lee is the hottest pitcher in the majors and it couldn't come at a better time for the Phillies.

Hate to say I told you so, but I told everybody when this trade happened that Lee would make them forget about Roy Halladay awfully quick.

It seems like eons ago when the Roy Halladay talk was dominating the airwaves. Now, it's all about Michael Vick when it really should be Cliff Lee getting all of the attention.

He's that special.
