NFL Divisional Round Playoffs Previewnfl

Arizona Cardinals @ New Orleans Saints - Saturday, January 16, 4:30PM EST
Total Offense Regular Season Rankings
Cardinals - 14th
Saints - 1st

Total Defense Regular Season Rankings
Cardinals - 20th
Saints - 25th

My take: The Cards proved they can go on the road and win in last year's run to the Super Bowl. Kurt Warner is talking retirement. The Saints haven't played a meaningful game in a month. These are the subplots to this potentially offensive slugfest... I like the Cards to move on.

Baltimore Ravens @ Indianapolis Colts - Saturday, January 16, 8:15PM EST
Total Offense Regular Season Rankings
Ravens - 13th
Colts - 9th

Total Defense Regular Season Rankings
Ravens - 3rd
Colts - 18th

My take: Like the Saints, the Colts have not played a meaninful game in quite some time. They of course chose to take the pedal off the metal the last few weeks of the season... history tells us this is not always a good thing. History also tells us that #18 is pretty damn good. I like Peyton Manning and the ponies.

Dallas Cowboys @ Minnesota Vikings - Sunday, January 17, 1PM ESTmcnabb sacked
Total Offense Regular Season Rankings
Cowboys - 2nd
Vikings - 5th

Total Defense Regular Season Rankings
Cowboys - 9th
Vikings - 6th

My take: Will this (finally) be Brett Favre's swan song?

The way the Cowboys' Defense is playing right now, it sure looks like that's a real possibility... Of course the 'Boys D beat up on the Birds so how much can we glean from that? Gut tells me Favre is not done just yet...

New York Jets @ San Diego Chargers - Sunday, January 17, 4:40PM EST
Total Offense Regular Season Rankings
Jets - 20th
Chargers - 10th

Total Defense Regular Season Rankings
Jets - 1st
Chargers - 16th

My take: This one is a tough call... for me anyway. The Jets will get after Philip Rivers. The question is can they contain him and the rest of the Chargers' offense enough to keep the game close because I do not see the Jets scoring many touchdowns. Field goals yes, TDs no. I like the Bolts.
