Sixers up 3-1 vs Bulls

Who would have thought the Sixers would be the pride of Philly sports this weekend? That’s the way it goes, however, and the team is now one win away from dethroning the top-seed Derrick Rose-less Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night. Read more here:

Flyers down 3-1 vs Devils

The Philadelphia Flyers have clearly hit a wall. The New Jersey Devils are flat out the better team in this series. They are getting outhustled and outshot, and overall outplayed.  It seems that youngsters Brayden Schenn, Sean Couturier, and Wayne Simmonds have hit a wall. Moreover, Jaromir Jagr is clearly playing every bit like the 40-year old he is.  It seems like the Flyers overlooked New Jersey, and they now face elimination Tuesday night in Game 5. Phillies lose 2 of 3 vs Nationals

The Phillies’ goal going into this weekend was to show the Nationals they were still the team to beat. They didn’t, but the Phightins may have made a statement of their own while the Nats suffered a monumental loss Sunday night. Read more in Matt Babiarz’s Three Up, Three Down!
