When To Draft The Best Eagles In Fantasy Football

"Bookmark

With a very high-powered offense put in by Chip Kelly, the Philadelphia Eagles are going to be very popular in fantasy football in 2014. They were able to put up some outstanding numbers last year, and this season could be much the same. Here is a look at the best individuals to consider, and when they should be drafted.

LeSean McCoy

There are talks about McCoy possibly picking up 2,000 yards on the ground this season, which shows a person all they need to know about his talent at this point in time. He is a very strong and physical running back that knows how to get things done. The bad part for Philadelphia fans is the fact that unless you get a top three pick, he is not going to be available in fantasy football. In fact, he could be the number 1 prospect this year with his ability to put up huge numbers each week.Photo: washingtonpost.com

Nick Foles

Last year, people were extremely surprised to see Nick Foles take off as one of the top 10 quarterbacks in the NFL. He was very efficient with the football, and that allowed him to have success in a variety of different ways. This season, he could take a slight step backwards, but he is still a top 10 fantasy football quarterback. The opportunities he will have makes him someone to target after the 6th round or later.

Jeremy Maclin

Despite a very strong passing game, there isn't a standout receiver on the Philadelphia Eagles right now. Maclin is the closest thing to one, and that is why he is going to be taken around the 7th round in most formats. That is pretty good for a guy coming off ACL surgery that robbed him of the entire 2013 season. Darren Sproles and Riley Cooper might steal some targets from him, but there will be plenty of passes to go around for everyone to have a decent amount of success.
