Brad Penny talks resurfacing? Trade possibilities dwindle as MLB starters hit the DL

There was speculation that Brad Penny of the Boston Red Sox was on the trading block at the end of May, and that the Phillies were either interested in, or possibly even offered the righthanded starter.  At the time, Brett Myers was still healthy, and there were rumors that Penny's attitude could be a cause for concern in the Phillies clubhouse.

With the recent injuries of starters Jake Peavy, Roy Halliday, and Eric Bedard, don't be surprised if Penny's name could resurface. However, the Red Sox will not give him up easily, and the Phillies will not be the only team in the market for another starter.

If the situation changes, The Eye will be on top of it!!
